About

Putting the "Oh" in Oh Vashon

Oh Vashon is the story of Unchalee "Oh" Ayucharoen, whose life has always been shaped by food, family, and hospitality.

Oh grew up in a small town in Thailand, where she spent her early years helping her grandmother prepare food for the family and for sale at the local market. Watching her grandmother cook—pouring love and care into every dish, smiling through long days of hard work—left a lasting impression.

Asian Saloon

Oh Vashon serves pan-Asian comfort food. Vietnamese pho, Chinese classics, and other favorites, made with care and adapted for island tastes. Vegan options too, because Vashon.

Why the saloon? Vashon is remote. You take a ferry to get here. It feels a little like the old frontier towns out west, and there's something appealing about the idea of an Asian cook setting up shop in a place like that, adapting to the local community while sharing food from home. Oh wasn't born here, but after years on the island, this is where she decided to stay and open a restaurant. She loves to cook and eat delicious food, and it's better with good company.

Grab pho to-go for the beach. Post up at the bar. Bring the kids. We'll be here.
